Dinly Privacy
Last updated 5 October 2026
The short version: your days stay on your phone. Dinly has no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and we never see anything you put in it.
What Dinly keeps
Everything you add lives on your phone, and only there:
- Your logs, stickers, day colours and notes
- Photos and short videos you keep with a day
- Your settings
None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. Dinly doesn't connect to the internet to do its job.
What we collect
Nothing, unless you write to us. We don't collect your name, email, location, contacts or how you use the app. We run no analytics, and there are no ads and no third-party trackers.
Feedback
If you send us a bug report or an idea, we get what you write, the email address you add (it's optional) and, when you send it from the app, the app's version and your phone's model and system version. It reaches us as an email. We use it only to answer you and to fix the app, and we'll delete it if you ask.
Camera, microphone and photos
- Camera is used only when you take a photo or a short video for a day.
- Microphone is used only to record sound for those short videos.
- Photos are picked through your phone's own photo picker, so Dinly only sees the ones you choose.
You can turn any of these off in your phone's settings, and the rest of the app keeps working.
Photo tags and stickers on Android
On Android, Dinly uses Google's ML Kit to tag your photos and to lift stickers out of them. It runs on your phone and your photos never leave it, but ML Kit sends Google basic diagnostics: your phone's model and system version, the app's version, how fast it ran and an ID for this install of the app (not one that identifies you). Google uses this to keep ML Kit working, under its own privacy policy. On iPhone and iPad, Apple's own tools do this on the phone.
Backups and sharing
When you make a backup or share a moment, you choose where it goes: Files, a message, your own cloud drive and so on. From there, that app's own privacy policy applies. We never receive a copy.
App stores
If you download Dinly from the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google may collect basic information like downloads and crash reports under their own privacy policies. We don't get anything that identifies you.
Deleting your data
Delete anything inside the app at any time. Deleting the app removes everything it kept on your phone. Backups you saved elsewhere stay where you put them until you delete them.
To have feedback you sent us deleted, write to support@mydinly.com and we'll remove it.
Children
Dinly doesn't ask anyone for personal information, children included. The only way we get any is feedback you choose to send.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
